Currently refining scenes II and III. Then I'll move on to refining scene IV and finishing scene V.

Really really hoping to post soon! It definitely won't be a 2 month wait this time.

Also, I'm considering making the chapters moving forward just single scenes so that I can post more quickly. It would remove the sense of unification that putting 5 scenes in a single chapter would create, but at least I'd be giving more. It depends a little on what the scenes actually do for the story.

I'm iffy on this idea. What do you guys think?

We're not going to have to wait very long for Chapter 15. Booyah! I've got all five scenes started, three of them finished, one almost finished, and then one very hard final scene.

Yet these are rocking. I haven't been this satisfied writing a chapter in a very very long time.

Yeah, so, Chapter Fourteen sucks. It's not complete, and what's there isn't great. This is the longest I've gone without posting a new chapter, and I don't like that at all. Especially since my hands are going to be pretty darn tied up in about 7 weeks!

It's funny how certain parts of this story get stuck in my head long before I'm ready to be there with the writing and posting of it.

A few months ago, I was so excited to get to the Edward and Rosalie chapters. I wrote a few paragraphs to give in to the need, but nothing more. Now that I'm in those chapters, I wish that I hadn't backed off. Those waiting for chapter six, or whatever chapter I'd been on at the time, I'm sure were happy that their chapter posted when it did. Now, however, I need to get the Edward and Rosalie mojo back. I know what I want from the characters, but I'm not getting it as successfully on the page as I did when I was in the Rosalie/Edward zone.

Now I'm in a completely different zone, a scene in which Carlisle puts the moves on Bella in a dance club, something that doesn't happen until much later in the story. So I'm going to write it. I'd already worked on this scene in May 2009 (according to the date on the doc) and now I'm going to work it again, more fully. It'll need to be fixed, because there'll be more specific elements of events that happened in between in there that I'll have to allude to, but for now, let's write the bump and grind, the sexual tension, the frustration afterwards.

Alright, folks. It has been slow-going on Chapter Fourteen. What a shame, I know.

I know what I'm doing with the chapter, it's just hard pulling the whole thing together the way that I want it to look. Since there are only four of you actively following my blog, how about a summarized preview? It'll probably help me more to write all this out. :-)

Heading back to the Cullen house, Edward has to face the whole family. (Perhaps a surprise in who is pissed off most.) The conversation takes an interesting turn, when Carlisle basically says that Edward's enthrallment is based entirely on his vampiric nature - and he needs to rise above it just as he did in the newborn days. Edward resents this, because the pull to Bella is so strong. To prove his point, Carlisle points out that Edward hasn't known Bella long enough for his being drawn towards her to be based on mind or personality. It basically turns into a verbal who-knows-Bella-better-battle. One guess who the winner will be.

Bella wakes up and deals with the events of the previous day as she readies for her shower. At school, she finds herself noticing the physically attractive qualities of her classmates more than she ever has before. However, lunch brings a surprise when Alice and Jasper inform her that Edward was in her room the previous night. Bella is angry, embarrassed, disgusted, and Edward basically becomes her least favorite person on the planet.

Her next visit to the Cullen home becomes a long heated discussion between Bella, Edward and Rosalie and about the choices that Edward and Rosalie have made for themselves. The conversation ends when Edward reveals that Alice called them in to deal with her attackers in Port Angeles. Misunderstanding, Bella believes that the two men are now dead because of her and she runs.

That's probably a good place to end the chapter... but I do know what happens next. :)

Anyone care to offer up their thoughts while I continue to struggle to put this together as an entertaining read?

Stuck stuck stuck

I am stuck, ladies. I've written most of Chapter Thirteen -nine out of the ten scenes I have intended- and I'm just stuck on this one part. It's awful. I can't do the chapter without this scene, so I need to get it figured out!

Argh. Help.

StormDragonfly recommends - "Edward Wallbanger." It's been one of the most dominant Twifics out there for over a year, so you've probably heard of it. It's funny. It's clever. It's got a cat named Clive. It's also an E/B fic, but that's okay, since all the girls lust after Carlisle anyway.

Chapter Thirteen so far

The feedback for Chapter Twelve has been amazing! Seriously, I don't think I've had a chapter so well received. Thank you everyone!

I've been moving forward with Chapter Thirteen, and I'm taking another risk (though not so big as last time) by putting in a scene I'm not sure is going to work. The pic's a hint.

I just gotta keeping plugging at it every day to make sure I get this chapter out soon. There'll be a touch more sexuality, if I bring the chapter as far as I envision it going right now. There'll also be a bit of a stand-off between Edward and Carlisle.

I've been reading a lot of Bella/Carlisle fics since the last posting. I'm very far behind on rec at this point.

Let me mention "The Hummer" by mabarbarella. I don't think that I've ever read a fic that was so dangerous. Seriously. My mind registers the added element of this story as canon, and that's not very good for someone who is writing their own Carlisle/Bella story. More detailed rec to come later.

I might also mention "Summer Sun" by ItHappened, which I read a year ago, and is still one of my favorite B/C fics out there. I passed it by a couple of times, because it was AH, and had Jasper and Rosalie as young children. I'm glad that I finally gave it a chance, because the characters are treated with real respect and emotion. You believe in Bella and Carlisle falling in love and why they need each other.
